First Visit

Thank you for expressing interest in West Gate Dental, the home of your trusted Lincoln dentist and our exceptional family dentistry services. We’ve crafted a relaxing office environment for all our patients where you’ll be able to receive the dental care that you require. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you come visit us so that you’ll never hesitate to come see us for any needed dental care or treatments. If you’ve never seen us before, we’d like to give you a basic rundown of what a first visit at our office will be like.

Preparing for Your Visit

We encourage you to show up a bit early to your visit so that you’ll have enough time to fill out several forms. Be prepared to complete both insurance and health information forms. Also, we ask that you please assist us by providing us with any panoramic x-rays that were taken in the past six months as well as your insurance card if you have dental insurance.

What to Expect During Your Visit

Your first visit with us will last about one hour. For most visits, we’ll clean your teeth and sometimes take X-rays. Our Lincoln dentist will perform a thorough dental exam and then evaluate the diagnostic records, which will help in diagnosing tooth decay, periodontal disease, jaw problems, and oral cancer. When the exam is over, your dentist will provide you with a detailed summary that will outline any existing dental problems along with their proposed treatment. Additionally, oral hygiene instructions may be provided to help you take the best possible care for your teeth.

We also believe that great dental care starts with open and honest communication. We always promise to speak candidly with you and we hope that you feel comfortable enough to let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. By working together, we’ll be able to set you on the path toward a healthier smile!
